UPDATE: I am updating this post as it is still one of the most read articles on the site.
Please check out the post I made on an update to Gmail.
The updated Android app now offers this much-touted functionality with several improvements.
With a unified inbox, users will be able to access all of their emails from different accounts in just one inbox, without the need to sign in and out of several email accounts.
You can create stunningly beautiful lists and grids using the Recycler View. The above answer is correct, but it turns out if its is specifically an "if gmail then *". It needs to be "if email then *" for inbox notifications. Because it has attracted low-quality or spam answers that had to be removed, posting an answer now requires 10 reputation on this site (the association bonus does not count).Would you like to answer one of these unanswered questions instead?I've got an invite to the new inbox by gmail service.I downloaded the app, but I can't seem to make it the default mailing app on the phone.
